Arc Flash Studies

Shock and Arc-Flash Analysis and Equipment Labeling

Arc Flash Studies are essential to maintaining and electrically safe workplace. CSA Z462 standard requires that the employer shall “establish, document, and implement the safety-related work practices and procedures”. If employees are required to perform work on electrical equipment, they need to know the hazards so they can mitigate them. An arc flash study provides them that information. Arc flash studies must be performed on all equipment operating at above 30 volts and include an assessment of the likelihood and severity of a shock and arc-flash incident. The analysis needs to be updated when a major modification or renovation takes place. At Rotaflow, we have a team of dedicated experts who can perform a Shock and Arc Flash analysis for your facility. Reach out to our team to find out more about Workplace Electrical Safety.
